The disadvantage of this separator is that its separation efficiency is higher at its rated capacity, and once it deviates from its separation efficiency, it is relatively poor, resulting in an increase in dew point.

The compressed air has a large pressure difference between the air compressor station and the user end, resulting in high airflow speed, short contact time between the compressed air and the adsorbent, and uneven distribution in the dryer. The flow rate is concentrated in the middle part, so that the adsorbent in the middle part is saturated too fast, and the saturated adsorbent cannot effectively adsorb the water in the compressed air, and the compressed air carries a large amount of water through the central concentration. Produce a "tunnel effect", resulting in a large amount of liquid water at the gas end.

In addition, the compressed air in the transportation process to the low pressure end of the expansion adsorption dry dispersion too fast, the pressure is rapidly reduced, while the temperature is reduced, lower than its pressure dew point, water vapor in the susaturated state precipitation, winter will quickly solidified on the inner wall of the pipeline hanging ice, hanging ice more and more thick, and finally the pipeline may be completely blocked.

(4) The adsorption material used in the adsorption dryer is

Activated alumina, which is not tightly filled, will rub and collide with each other under the impact of strong compressed air, resulting in pulverization, which will make the gap of the adsorbent larger and larger, and a large amount of compressed air from the gap has not been effectively treated, eventually leading to the failure of the dryer, which is reflected in the dust filter in the field as a large amount of liquid water and pulping phenomenon.

(5) Compressed air with oil will lead to activated alumina oil poisoning and failure.

The super coolant used in the screw air compressor has high thermal conductivity and is used to cool the compressed air, but its separation from the compressed air is not complete, which will make the compressed air sent out of the air compressor with oil, the oil in the compressed air will attach to the surface of the activated alumina porcelain ball, block the activated alumina pores, so that the activated alumina loses the adsorption capacity and oil poisoning, and lose the function of absorbing water.
