Three Key Points
One - Location: It sits inside the separator tank and serves as the final barrier for oil recovery after compressor discharge. Gas leaving the compressor unit must pass through it before entering the air receiver and piping network.
Two - Principle: Oil mist travels through the filter layer with the airflow, repeatedly colliding, attaching, and merging on the fiber surfaces. The droplets grow steadily in size until gravity pulls them free. The released oil gathers at the base of the element and is returned to the compressor through the oil return line.
Three - Service Life: It is a consumable part and must be replaced after a certain operating period. Once the element becomes saturated or damaged, oil mist passes straight through, causing oil carry-over in the discharge and higher oil consumption.
