Most of the heat generated during friction is taken away by lubricating oil, and a small part of the heat is directly emitted through conduction radiation.

The washing effect has a great influence on the wear. The lubricating oil formed between the friction surfaces is very thin. The metal debris staying on the friction surfaces will destroy the oil film and form dry friction, resulting in abrasive wear.

The sealing between the cylinder wall and the piston of the air compressor is by the sealing effect of lubricating oil.
(5) to reduce the morale.
The friction parts move on the oil film, as if floating on the "oil pillow", which plays a certain buffer role on the vibration of the equipment.
(6) unloading effect.
Because there is an oil film between the friction surface, the load acting on the friction surface is more evenly distributed through the oil film on the friction surface, this effect of the oil film is called the unloading effect.
(7) protective effect.
Can be anticorrosive and dustproof, play a protective role.
