The thermal control valve is installed in front of the oil cooler and its function is to maintain the nose exhaust temperature above the pressure dew point.
Its working principle is that due to the low oil temperature, the branch of the thermal control valve is opened, the main loop is closed, and the lubricating oil is directly sprayed into the head without the cooler;
When the temperature rises to more than 40℃, the heat control valve is gradually closed, and the oil flows from the cooler and the branch at the same time;
Rise to 80℃ above, the valve is completely closed, all the lubricating oil through the cooler into the head, in order to maximize the cooling of lubricating oil.
If the thermal control valve is faulty, the lubricating oil may enter the nose directly without the cooler, so that the oil temperature cannot drop, resulting in overtemperature.
The main reasons for its failure, one is the size of the spool on the two thermal spring after fatigue elastic coefficient change, can not change with the temperature and normal action;
Second, the valve body wear, spool stuck or action is not in place and can not be closed normally.
Can be repaired or replaced according to the situation.
