The hazards and solutions of oily air compressed by air compressors

Jul 21, 2026 Leave a message

The air compressed by the air compressor can cause the activated alumina oil to be poisoned and become ineffective. The super coolant used in screw air compressors has high thermal conductivity and is used to cool compressed air. However, if it is not completely separated from the compressed air, the compressed air sent out of the air compressor will contain oil. The oil in the compressed air will adhere to the surface of the activated alumina ceramic balls, blocking the capillary pores of the activated alumina, causing the activated alumina to lose its adsorption capacity and suffer from oil poisoning, losing its function of adsorbing moisture.

Solution: Replace the oil separator core and the post-oil removal filter core on time to ensure thorough oil-gas separation in the air compressor and good oil removal by the post-oil removal filter. Additionally, the amount of super coolant in the unit must not exceed the limit.
