Water is the biggest pollutant of compressed air. Different forms of water have different removal methods. In industry, water vapor in the form of a gas is usually removed by a dryer (frozen or adsorbed). Small droplets of liquid water or mist must be removed by a filter. The heating method can only reduce the relative humidity of the compressed air, but can not play the role of drying the compressed air.
