This product is a precision filter element in compressed air aftertreatment systems, belonging to the coalescing filter category.
Core Functions:
Oil Removal: As an oil-removing filter, its core task is to remove liquid oil mist and oil vapor from compressed air, reducing residual oil content to extremely low levels.
Dust Removal: Efficiently filters solid particles from the air, including dust, rust, and pipe debris.
Water Removal: Separates and discharges liquid water from compressed air, protecting downstream drying equipment.
Working Principle:
Coalescing Filtration: Compressed air flows from the inside of the filter element outwards, passing through multiple layers of glass fiber media. Oil mist and fine water droplets collide and coalesce on the fibers, forming larger droplets.
Gravity Separation: The coalesced droplets settle to the bottom of the filter element under gravity.
Automatic Drainage: The separated oil and water are discharged through an automatic drain valve at the bottom of the filter.
Clean Output: Clean, dry compressed air is discharged from the outlet, with an oil content as low as 0.01 ppm.
Consequences of failure: If the filter element fails or becomes clogged, the oil and water content of the compressed air will exceed the standards, thereby contaminating downstream dryers, precision instruments and pneumatic equipment, increasing maintenance costs and potentially causing production interruptions.
