The oil‑gas separator functions on the coalescence mechanism. Compressed air leaving the compressor head contains oil droplets in a range of sizes. Larger droplets are easily separated within the vessel, whereas fine oil aerosols (suspended particles) must be processed through the micro‑glass fiber media of the filter element. This element uses micro‑glass fiber as its primary filtration material, where ultra‑fine oil mist particles merge into larger droplets during flow. These coalesced drops collect at the bottom and are then drawn back into the compressor lubrication circuit through the return oil pipe for re‑use.
