Model 2906020200 functions through coalescence and acts as the secondary fine‑separation element in the oil‑air separation circuit of ultra‑high‑power screw compressors.
Inside the oil‑air separator tank, the mixture leaving the screw airend is first pre‑separated by centrifugal action and gravity, causing coarse droplets to fall to the tank base. The airflow, still holding fine oil mist, then enters the 2906020200 element and is forced through several micro‑glass fiber layers. Droplets larger than the media pore size are blocked at the surface, while finer ones merge upon contact with the fibers. These enlarged droplets then descend by gravity to the element bottom. Via the oil return line, the collected lubricant is siphoned back into the compressor lubrication system for continued use. Finally, purified compressed air-with oil content held between 3 and 6 ppm-exits through the central outlet and proceeds to the aftercooler for further cooling.
