Housed within the oil separator reservoir of mobile screw compressors, this element acts as the second filtration stage.
Primary Functions:
Particle Capture and Coalescence: The ultra-fine glass fiber layer captures all solid debris exceeding 3 μm and merges microscopic oil-water-gas aerosols (0.01–1 μm) into larger drops. These enlarged droplets descend to the cartridge base and are drawn back into the lubrication circuit via the oil return pipe.
Exhaust Oil Regulation: It keeps oil carryover consistently under 3 ppm, which satisfies the intake criteria for downstream purification systems used on mobile equipment.
Equipment Safeguarding: It shields refrigerated dryers, fine filters, and pneumatic end-devices from oil mist fouling.
Operational Flow: Positioned inside the oil tank, the element receives the air stream after primary separation. As the mist-laden air permeates the coalescing glass fiber media, the oil is trapped and recovered, allowing clean air to exit through the central port.
