The LC11001X is a crankcase breather filter specifically designed for excavator engines, and is a core component of the engine's forced crankcase ventilation (PCV) system.
Its function is the opposite of an air filter-which filters the air entering the engine-while the LC11001X filters the exhaust gases emitted from the engine. When the engine is running, high-pressure unburned gases, acids, moisture, and oxides of sulfur and nitrogen from the combustion chamber seep into the crankcase through the gap between the piston rings and cylinder walls. The LC11001X's role is to efficiently filter out oil mist, particulate matter, and other harmful pollutants from these exhaust gases, ensuring clean exhaust gases or allowing them to be safely reintroduced into the intake system for combustion.
