Precision Filter Element – PF Grade for Compressed Air Systems
This component is installed in the precision filtration stage of the compressed air after‑treatment system and serves as a critical element for ensuring downstream air quality.
PF Grade Positioning:
The K‑series offers seven filtration grades: PF, AO, AA, AX, AR, AAR, and ACS. Among these, the PF grade is a primary pre‑filter, designed to remove solid particles larger than 25 μm from compressed air, including water mist and oil mist. It acts as the first line of defence in the precision filtration system and is typically installed upstream of the AO grade (oil removal filter) to protect higher‑precision downstream elements.
Core Functions:
Primary Filtration: Removes solid particulates larger than 25 μm, as well as water mist and oil mist, from the compressed air stream.
Downstream Protection: Reduces the contaminant load on downstream high‑precision filters (such as AO and AA grades), thereby extending their service life.
Oil‑Water Separation: Utilises coalescing filtration technology to coalesce oil mist and water vapour into liquid droplets, which are then separated and drained from the system.
