This filter element is used in the compressed air purification stage, primarily to intercept and separate oil mist, moisture, and impurity particles from the air stream. The main filtration layer uses ultra-fine borosilicate glass fiber, which provides good hydrophobicity, captures fine particles effectively, and maintains stable airflow. The inner stainless steel perforated tube acts as a structural backbone, preventing media deformation under differential pressure. End caps and seals fit tightly to prevent air bypass or leakage after assembly.

How It Works

Air enters the element and passes through the coalescing layer from inside to outside. Oil mist and water droplets are captured on the fiber surface and gradually merge into larger droplets that settle downward under gravity. The outer hydrophobic structure stops droplets from re-entering the air stream, allowing them to drain properly. Impurity particles are retained within the media. The treated air becomes clean and dry, continuing to the point of use.
